The 59th Istanbul International Jewelry Show (IJS), held from 1–4 April 2026 at the Istanbul Expo Center in Türkiye, reaffirmed its position as one of the world's leading jewelry trade exhibitions and a premier business-to-business platform serving the Eurasian region. Organized by Informa Markets in cooperation with the Turkish Ministry of Trade and the Turkish Jewelry Association, the event brought together designers, manufacturers, suppliers, traders, retailers, and buyers from across Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, North Africa, and other international markets. 

The exhibition showcased a comprehensive range of products and services, including gold and silver jewelry, diamonds, precious and semi-precious stones, pearls, watches, jewelry packaging, machinery and equipment, 3D printing technologies, and other industry support services. Exhibitors from Germany, the United Arab Emirates, China, Thailand, Japan, and India underscored the event's global reach and significance as a sourcing, networking, and business development venue for the global jewelry industry. 

According to the Philippine Consulate General in Istanbul, Türkiye's jewelry industry remains a major contributor to its country's economy, recording jewelry exports of USD 7.9 billion in 2025, with Istanbul serving as the country's principal jewelry production and trading hub. The scale and diversity of the exhibition underscore its value as a strategic gateway for companies seeking access to regional and international markets. 

Of particular interest to Philippine stakeholders, the Consulate General observed the limited presence of pearl exhibitors, especially those offering South Sea pearls. This market gap presents a promising opportunity for Philippine pearl producers, jewelry exporters, gold suppliers, and related enterprises to expand into the Turkish market and the broader Eurasian jewelry supply chain. The event also offers a valuable platform for business networking, market promotion, and the establishment of international trade linkages. 

Given the Philippines' competitive strengths in South Sea pearls, handcrafted jewelry, silver jewelry, and sustainable jewelry products, participation in future editions of IJS could provide opportunities to showcase Philippine craftsmanship, connect with international buyers and distributors, monitor global market trends, and diversify export markets beyond traditional destinations.
