The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC) implements a new digital certification system, “eDAS”, starting 01 February 2023.

The eDAS is a new digital certification system to authenticate commercial invoices and certificates of origin by issuing a unique QR code. This new system is part of the UAE’s e-government initiatives which aims to automate government services according to the needs of customers.

The DTI Export Marketing Bureau (EMB) strongly encourages all exporters to comply with the new system and ensure that their commercial invoices and certificates of origin are properly authenticated through eDAS.
