angle-left ADVISORY: Indonesia Issues Latest Requirements for Prior Notice System

The Indonesia Agricultural Quarantine Agency (IAQA) has announced additional requirements under its Prior Notice System, which will take effect 10 May 2022.

To improve traceability of Food Safety Control on Importation of Fresh Food of Plant Origin under Law Number 21 of 2019 on Animal, Fish and Plant Quarantine, the IAQA will be requesting the following additional data/information in the format of Prior Notice:

  1. Description of the importer;

  2. Reference number, date, and place of issue of Phytosanitary Certificate;

  3. The name of registered food safety testing laboratory; and

  4. Reference number of Certificate of Analysis or Health Certificate

The exporter or its representative in the origin country must issue the Prior Notice electronically (online) before the shipment arrives in Indonesia, at the latest, through its Prior Notice System. This can be found at http://karantina.pertanian.go.id/ under Layanan Publik (Public Services and find Prior Notice (PSAT) or directly at http://notice.karantina.pertanian.go.id

The DTI-Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB) strongly advises Philippine exporters to Indonesia to work closely with their importers to ensure compliance to the new regulation.
