angle-left ADVISORY: Australian Anti-Dumping Commission (ADCC) to discontinue the anti-dumping measures currently applied to consumer and food service industrial (FSI) pineapple exported by the Philippines

Dear Valued Exporters:

This is to inform you that the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission (ADCC) made a final decision to discontinue the anti-dumping (AD) measures currently applied to consumer and food service industrial (FSI) pineapple exported by the Philippines.

The lifting of AD duties on canned pineapple exports will now allow Philippine exporters to export duty-free to Australia. The AD duties have been in place for at least 15 years (since 2006). The existing measures will expire on 17 October for consumer pineapple and 13 November for FSI pineapple. The AD duties that will soon expire are equivalent to 5.9% for Dole Philippines and 22.9% for all other exporters for consumer pineapple. On the other hand, the AD duties for pineapple products for FSI is 18.7%.

The ADCC determined that the expiration of the said measures would not lead to a continuation or recurrence of dumping and the material injury that measures are intended to prevent.
