angle-left ADVISORY: EU Import Rules for Entry of Composite Products Begins 21 April 2021

The new EU rule on composite products which requires that entry requirements of composite products based on the animal or public health risk linked to the composite product itself has been in effect since 21 April 2021,

Philippine exporters to the EU are strongly advised by the DTI to coordinate with their EU-based importers to ensure compliance to the new regulation such as, but not limited to, the need for the importers to issue Private Attestation to support their importation of said composite products.

It is recommended that their EU-based importers be familiar with the new regulation COMMISSION DELEGATED REGULATION (EU) 2019/625 and to consult with their respective local authorities to ensure compliance and avoid confiscation or withdrawal during inspection of their shipment.
